The Swiss Association for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SGPP) officially recognizes the C.G. Jung Institute of Zurich in Küsnacht as a site for advanced training of physicians who seek the title of a physician spezialized in psychiatry and psychotherapy (Facharzt FMH für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie).
Since 1996 the Institute has conducted a three-year advanced training in Jungian psychotherapy, a psychoanalytical method for assistant and licensed physicians taught by training analysts of the Institute.
