In the Land of Imagination
The C.G. Jung Collection
The presentation of C.G. Jung’s ‘Das Rote Buch’ caused a sensation at the 2013 Venice Biennale. In 2018 the C.G. Jung Collection was presented to the public for the first time. The collection includes artworks by Jung’s patients from between 1916 and 1955. Series of images emerged in the ‘active imagination’ as part of the therapeutic process.
The first exhibition on the occasion of the Institute’s 70th anniversary was organized in cooperation with the Museum “Im Lagerhaus” in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
During the XXI IAAP congress some of the pictures are shown in the Senatssaal. They illustrate the motto of the Congress: Encountering the Other – within Jung’s patients.
